Professor Sarfaraz K. Niazi

Sarfaraz K. Niazi, Ph.D., SI, FRSB, FPAMS, FACB, is Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois, University of Texas, HEJ Research Institute, National University of Science and Technology. He is also a fellow of many prestigious learned societies. He is the founder of Adello Biologicsi, the largest investor funded biotechnology company in the world doing business in Chicago, Cashel (Ireland) Piscataway (NJ). He is an inductee into the Chicago Entrepreneur Hall of Fame for his entrepreneurial leadership. He is widely written about for his technical expertise and passion in the world press; the Forbes Magazine lists him as the most interesting man in the world for his efforts in making high-cost drugs affordable across the globe; other few include The Chicago Tribune, Crain Business, The Express, and Diagnostico Brazil. He is a recipient of the highest civil awards, Star of Distinction in Engineering from Pakistan.

Dr. Niazi began his career teaching pharmacy at the University of Illinois, where he became the youngest tenured professor at the age of 28. He has published widely, with about 100 research papers and abstracts. He worked for Abbott Laboratory where he was named to be the tenured Volwiler Fellow, for 7 years before starting his consulting company in 1995. He has written, 100+ major research papers, 50+ major landmark books (50 ISBNs) and owns 130+ patents in a wide variety of technologies helping millions worldwide. With over 45 years of teaching, conducting research and contributing to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, Dr. Niazi has now focused on innovations to improve and diversify alcoholic beverages, turning the manufacturing model upside down to enable capturing global markets for a Made in USA product.
